Meet Julia
Julia Cash, LAMFT
"Together, we will explore how your story and life experiences shape your patterns, relationships, and sense of self."
Hi there!
I’m Julia Cash, a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. My style is connective, compassionate, and client centered. I bring a warm, non-judgmental presence to the therapy room, creating a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Together, we will explore how your story and life experiences shape your patterns, relationships, and sense of self.
Who I work with:
I support young adults, adults, couples, and adult families as they navigate the complexity of life. My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, and supported while exploring challenges and opportunities for greater growth and connection. Areas I often work with include:
Processing family-of-origin and attachment wounds
Identity exploration
Life transitions
Anxiety
Grief and loss
Blended family dynamics
Communication and relationship challenges
Intimacy (desire, arousal, self-esteem, values, and boundaries)
Sexual and relational history or trauma
My Approach:
I take a holistic and systemic approach, exploring not just who you are, but the systems you are part of; family, cultural, relational, and professional contexts, and how these experiences and identities shape your present-day interactions. With curiosity and compassion, I’ll help you gain self-awareness, explore where you feel stuck, and identify ways you want to grow.
I draw from evidence-based therapies like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), the Gottman Method, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. These approaches help us understand how early relational experiences, family-of-origin dynamics, and broader societal influences shape your relationships, patterns, and sense of self. I will introduce coping strategies and tools to help regulate your mind and body.
I also bring insight from my own experiences of growing up in a divorced/blended family, being an only child, and navigating experiences of parentification, which deepens my ability to hold space for others with empathy, nuance, and awareness of systemic influences.
Taking the Next Step:
If my approach feels like a fit for you, I’d be honored to support you on your journey. Appointments can be scheduled anytime through our online portal or by emailing info@abetterlifetherapy.com. I provide therapy at our Ardmore office and virtually for clients in Pennsylvania and New Jersey."
My rate per 50-minute session is $130.00
